AI receptionist

Answers the phone when you can't. It finds out who's calling and what they need, books a site visit straight into your schedule, and emails you the summary. Every call is written up below. Every caller is told they're speaking to an AI and that the call is recorded.

Your number

A dedicated line for the receptionist. Forward your own phone to it — you keep your number, and calls you don't pick up get answered instead of going to voicemail.

How it answers

What it says, when it picks up, and what it's allowed to tell people.
That she's an AI and that the call is recorded — in the greeting, on every call. She never claims to be a person.
She'll read it once and learn what you do, where you work and the questions you get asked — far more than you'd type in below. Anything you fill in yourself still wins.
Site can't be read? Paste its text instead
Some sites turn away automated readers, and some build their pages in the browser so there's nothing to read. Copy the words from your home, about and services pages and paste them here — she learns from them just as she would from the site.
Comma separated. It won't offer work that isn't on this list.
Whatever you write here is the only pricing it will ever say, word for word. It never works out a number of its own.
One per line: the question, a vertical bar, then the answer. Anything not here, it says it doesn't know and takes a message.
The business name, her name and “How can I help?” are said for you — don't repeat them here.
She'll open with: “”

Booking, transfers and messages

What it's allowed to do once it knows what the caller wants.
After every call you get an email with the summary, the caller's number and everything that was said — and it's written up under Recent calls. Nothing is texted, to you or to them.

Your minutes

Calls are counted in whole minutes, like your phone bill. Run out and it stops answering — calls ring through to your own phone instead. You're never billed for going over.

Used this month

Calls are measured in whole minutes, the way your phone bill does it.

Recent calls

Everything it answered, with what was said.
No calls yet.

Before you switch it on

  1. Ring the number yourself and have a normal conversation with it. Try asking for a price.
  2. Check the summary email arrives, and that the call shows up under Recent calls.
  3. Set up forwarding on your mobile, then have someone else call you and let it ring out.
It never quotes a price, never promises a date, and never invents a fact about your business. If it doesn't know, it says so and takes a message.
